Sometimes the softly softly approach just doesn’t work.
And when I say work, I mean give people the feeling that they are working hard at achieving a goal and punishing themselves for their shortcomings (ie: being fat and unfit).
What I have noticed about myself is that when another area of my life is not going as great as I want it to, or I have crashed and burned in some way, shape or form – I tend to take it out on my body.
I suddenly notice and am annoyed by every little imperfection of my physical self.
And that is when I revert to my past experience and background skills of being a body coach, a fitness instructor, a personal trainer.
Probably in an attempt to regain some feeling of control and achievement where I feel it is missing in other areas that I believe are out of my control.
I get aggressively active.
I make plans that have goal-based outcomes (it’s like I am possessed by someone who loves the detail and conformity).
I have a new sense of determination that is unfortunately linked to a feeling that I need to be harsh on myself because I have failed in some way. Which means I believe I need stricter controls and guidelines to help me be successful.
Most of the work I now do around bodies is helping people to get past this mindset and through the ‘punish myself mentality’.
But part of what has driven me to my place of needing to gain control of myself and feel like I am accomplishing something is the feeling that MOST women do not want to be kind to themselves.
They want other people to love and appreciate them and so give themselves endlessly to others needs and requirements, only to end up at the end of their energy, health and strength. Suddenly noticing that they have ignored their own health along the way and need to grab back some sort of control and level of being and feeling it and healthy again.
However most of that suddenly comes from a place of thinking that they won’t be any use to others if they are not strong enough, fit enough, energetic enough, thin enough, attractive enough and so the deep down motivation for their need to pay attention to their own health is still coming from a place of being accepted by others and needed.
The programs, coaching and books we offer around forming a new relationship with ones own body are viewed as too slow, not relevant to weight loss, too simple to be effective or too expensive because it is difficult to see the long term benefits and far reaching consequences of what we are offering.
But I completely understand that feeling of just wanting to feel in control of ones own body, FAST!
And I know how to do that too!
And right now it is what I need to engage with to get the other areas of my life back on track too.
The reason I tend to stay away from training people in this way anymore is because most are just focusing on the surface goal, the punishment of their bodies, the pulling it back in line with societies guidelines of health, fitness and beauty.
What they are missing is knowing the relationship between their motivations and their desired outcomes from embarking on a fitness regime or diet.
BUT I am so at a point of fed up with trying to convince people of the benefit of forming this deep knowing, this kind, compassionate and patient relationship with their body – that I am about to make an offer that I haven’t made in years!
Mostly it is for my current need to get control of my physical body to create a sense of competence, capability and achievement.
But it is also for those people that seem to want to push their body to achieve a change that they believe they need to make to be successful, loved and worthy.
Or put in terms that other trainers might use –

But so few people seem to know the extent of the commitment of time, focus and energy it actually takes to get their body to fall in line with their expected outcomes in the time frame that all the marketing suggests it should happen in.

Yes that is right I am going to be doing this program myself and allowing those who feel they need it too to join in with me.
It is one month of intensive training
5 mornings a week
Monday to Friday
6:30am -7:15am (yes that early. You get up, get it done and get on with your day.)
You will be required to track and be accountable for what you eat and drink over the month - NO excuses or forgetting.
I will recommend changes for your eating and drinking habits but what you choose to do is up to you – all you HAVE to do is track it all.
It’s going to be harsh.
It’s going to be intense.
It’s going to be relentless.
It’s going to be focused
It’s going to require commitment of time and money from you.
There will be strict adherence guidelines.
You will have to attend every session. Should you miss more than three over the month – I will consider that 3 strikes and you’re out, with no refund of your investment.
Yes that may seem harsh – but I only want people who are committed, determined and are going to show up and stay the course.
You are going to want to quit

You are going to wonder why you signed up
You will be reminded of the reasons you are there in no uncertain terms
