It's fashion revolution week and what a prefect week to begin our hidden gems interview series...

There are so many amazing women out in the world doing amazing things and we are playing a game to track them down and discover all the magic they have inside.

We want to find out all about them, what makes them come alive and of course we'll be finding out how they like to play.

This week we kick off with the beautiful Mica Lamb who tells us all about fashion revolution week, marketing, copywriting, and scrabble secrets all with a little help from Benedict Cumberbatch!

Mica tells us how fashion revolution week came about, the impact it is already making and how we can each get involved to make our difference.

From the simple things like asking "who made my clothing"

To making alterations to your clothing and ultimately bringing the fun back to redesign yourself through your clothes.

Plus, there are some tips on how we can all avoid the marketing ploys used by the big high street stores that encourage us to consume badly made clothing.

Fashion revolution believes in a fashion industry that values people, the environment, creativity and profit in equal measure.

Their mission is to unite people and organisations to work together towards radically changing the way our clothes are sourced, produced and consumed, so that our clothing is made in a safe, clean and fair way.

They believe that collaborating across the whole value chain — from farmer to consumer — is the only way to transform the industry. Their mission is to bring everyone together to make that happen.

Mica gives us details on our local (Lewes) clothing swap event run by Dianna Uprichard of Dolly Clothing. Click here to discover more on that.
